Love God, Love Others, Make Disciples
As a dedicated pastor, missionary, teacher, and disciple maker with over 30 years of experience, I am seeking to continue my calling to serve Christ's church with love, courage, boldness, humility, creativity, and tenderness. My mission is rooted in the core of all scripture: to love God, love others, and make disciples. God has gifted me in preaching, teaching, vision casting, and disciple making. Every day it is a joy to serve Jesus, my King and my God!
All things are possible with God and God loves it when His people work together, with humility, hope, and according to His will. I firmly believe that when Jesus taught us to pray "on earth as it is in heaven" that the body of Christ, humble and united, can experience today what Jesus constantly preached. "The Kingdom of God has come near! Repent and believe the good news!"
Thank God for parents who love the Lord. My childhood was filled with experiences that proved to me that God was real and that He loved me. Pastor Jack Eyestone at the Bloomington Nazarane church near San Bernardino was a big part of that. I asked Jesus into my heart when I was two years old. I started preaching shortly thereafter. Pastor Jack Eyestone at the Bloomington Nazarane church near San Bernardino was a big part of that. I asked Jesus into my heart when I was two years old. I started preaching shortly thereafter. Granted, my first congregation was a pile of stuffed animals, but the calling was on me early.
I was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Oceanside, CA at age 8 by Dr. Don Watson.
Under great Pastors in Nazarene, Baptist, and Non-denominational churches I received instruction, guidance, and encouragement to serve. I was blessed to witness many miracles at Melodyland in Anaheim. We also went to the Crystal Cathedral where I learned from Dr. Schuller to always ask God for His idea, and learn how to communicate with people, not just talk at them.
In High School I was President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a leader in my youth groups at both the Nazarene Church and the Non-denom churches that I attended. At University God re-established my calling as a preacher and evangelist. I have served the Lord as a missionary, youth pastor, preacher, church planter, teacher, evangelist, mentor, worship leader, and in other ways according to the Holy Spirit's instructions.
I began volunteer preaching during my last two years of University, mostly in settings connected to the school or the local Lutheran Church. Immediately after graduating I spent three years in Japan as a missionary, teacher, evangelist, and leader of a Christian Heavy Metal band. During seminary I had to really fight for my faith. I atten
I attended one of the most liberal seminaries in the country and battled for every true doctrine and belief. Throughout that time I worked as a youth pastor, chaplain, Intern, and assistant to the seminary's and ELCA region 2 archivist. You learn a lot about churches and what causes them to fail when you work in the archives of a dying denomination.
After seminary I was called to my first transformational ministry position in Henderson, NV. After the Senior Pastor retired I lead a prayer campaign for our city and we prayed through the Henderson white pages over 40 days. The church grew from 100 to 900 in around two years.
My next call was to a church in Berkeley. Never tell God you won't go back somewhere. God did a miracle and saved my life from a terminal illness. The church began to take prayer seriously and grew from 19 to 125 in a year.
Next, I was sent to inner city Phoenix. I did prayer walks around the church and the neighborhoods with the matriarchs of two Liberian refugee families. We started to become a neighborhood church. It was like heaven. We grew with families from all over Africa, Asia, Carribean, and South America.
In 2010 the ELCA had abandoned scripture to the point I had to leave. I was worn from the fight. God gave me The Wellspring. For seven years we went deep into the word as I planted what would become a school that sent mostly military missionaries out into the world.
In 2017 the Holy Spirit sent us to Utah. It was the last place we expected to go. God has done amazing things here, but now He is clearly sending me "home" which, for me, will always mean Southern California. There is revival coming and I know I am called to be there.
I have been told that I have gifts for preaching and teaching. I believe this is true and they are definitely what I enjoy doing more than anything else in life.

God has blessed me with the ability to research and connect the dots so I have been able to develop a rich theology influenced by many great preachers, Bible scholars, teachers, and prophets.
God has gifted me with the ability to learn languages quickly, but more importantly to understand them at their most primitive level which helps with Biblical insight. If there is one reason that I am grateful that I attended CLU it is that both of my German professors were doctors of Philology, the study of languages. Because of this I have learned to communicate scripture with people in a relevant but also ancient way. I love tearing into the Greek and Hebrew to see how abundantly God's word unfolds.
I play the guitar and bass guitar and sing when necessary, so it has been wonderful to be able to lead worship anywhere.
I have a deep reliance on prayer and daily communication with God. I'm not sure if that is a skill, but it is something I can't live or even function without.
The Feeling Gift" is currently available.
Next up is "Timothy Tadpole and the Secret Stone." It is a collaboration with my daughters on finding the adventure in today.
- "The Prayers God Hears," "Millie and Mazie Save the Day," and "Duncan and His Amazing Apples."
This was the last in a seven-part series about the Armor of God. We don't battle against flesh and blood. Spiritual warfare is real. We need to fill the armory of our minds with the word of God so the Holy Spirit can hand us the right weapon at the right time.
What does God's word say about tithing and why is it so important for Christians today? It has something to do with love and trust so we can have a heaven on earth relationship with Jesus now and forever.
They will know we are Christians by our...love? Yes, but also by all the Fruit of Walking in and with the Holy Spirit. Self-Control is the control of the self we give to the Holy Spirit so we can be used powerfully by God for His glory.
This one is about the importance of gratitude and "fealty." Jesus is Lord and King. He deserves our love, trust, gratitude, devotion, and honor.

Social Media can be a total downer, especially in election years. I decided to offer Scripture, Jokes, and whacky short videos to lighten the load and give hope. You can find them on Instagram and Facebook
Yes, you might hear me worshipping in my office. I play guitar and bass guitar, write music, and morph some of the oldies but goodies into hard rock and heavy metal (I use headphones for that).
